Maybe you don’t know your neighbors as well as you thought you did . . .
“This is a very difficult letter to write. I hope you will not hate us too much. . . My son broke into your home recently while you were out.”
In a quiet, leafy suburb in upstate New York, a teenager has been sneaking into houses–and into the owners’ computers as well–learning their secrets, and maybe sharing some of them, too.
Who is he, and what might he have uncovered? After two anonymous letters are received, whispers start to circulate, and suspicion mounts. And when a woman down the street is found murdered, the tension reaches the breaking point. Who killed her? Who knows more than they’re telling? And how far will all these very nice people go to protect their own secrets?
In this neighborhood, it’s not just the husbands and wives who play games. Here, everyone in the family has something to hide . . .
You never really know what people are capable of.

MY REVIEW
A nice, quiet neighborhood. Well, except that a man’s wife goes missing and a teenager is breaking into houses and hacking into computers. Everyone in the neighborhood is hiding something, and one of them is a killer.
Someone We Know has a lot of characters, and is told with alternating points of view. Some of the characters are better developed than others. All of the characters are keeping secrets, and most are suspects in a neighbor’s murder.
I enjoyed the mysterious plot, but had a hard time connecting with the characters. The setting is one of my favorites – idyllic neighborhood where everyone has something to hide. The ending isn’t a big shock, and a lot of readers will likely figure it out, but there are enough suspects and twists in the story to keep most readers guessing a bit.
Someone We Know is an entertaining and twisty thriller. Suspenseful, fun, and clever.
I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

Ooh should I buy this or not is my question. I have found her book sometimes coursing in the middle. 🤔🤔 Great review
Thanks! I liked this one, so I recommend giving it a try. Maybe you can find it on sale somewhere. 💜
Great review but sounds like it wasn’t really as thrilling as you’d have hoped.
Thanks! I think I’ve read too many thrillers lately, so I’m getting picky about them. 😉
Lovely review, I see it didn’t have quite the bang you were hoping for! This book just sounds so interesting!
Thanks! I’ve been reading mostly thrillers lately, so I’m getting hard to please with this genre. It’s a good book though. 💜
