Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is Outrageous Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books.
This week’s topic is for outrageous things done for books, but I don’t really have anything outrageous… especially not 10 things. So, listed below are 10 things I do because of my love for books. Totally normal things. Right?
1. Stay up too late reading
I’m frequently guilty of this. I often stay up too late to finish reading a book.
2. Have a book blog
Obviously. I couldn’t keep my love of books to myself, so I started a blog.
3. Spend time on Goodreads
I use Goodreads to keep track of books read and ones I want to read. I also use it to find new books, read and write reviews, participate in groups, and find out when new books are hitting the shelves.
4. Own hundreds of books
I own a lot of books. Like, I have a home library. Also, it’s full of books I have not read. I do intend to one day read them, but I keep adding more and more books to my collection. It’s a never ending cycle.
5. Spend hours browsing books
It’s amazing how much time goes by without my realizing it when browsing books. I can easily spend a couple of hours in a book store or library.
6. Spend too much on books
Sometimes I have no self-control, and end up buying more books than I should.
7. Shop books when traveling
When going somewhere new, I’ll check to see if there are any book stores worth checking out in the area.
8. Have a bookstagram account
I started an Instagram account for books before I started this blog. I don’t post as regular as I once did, but it’s still a fun way to share the love of books.
9. Always carry a book
Sometimes I have a print book with me, but more often I keep books downloaded to my phone. If I find myself with a little extra time while out, I’ll get in some extra reading time.
10. Pre-order books
Sometimes, I need to have a book the moment it comes out.
