I love discovering “new-to-me” authors. Some authors I hear about for ages before giving them a shot, others I try on a whim. Below are 10 “new-to-me” authors and the books I read by them in 2018. I enjoyed each of these authors, and will be picking up more books by them in the future.

  1. Great list of new authors! I love Riley Sager! Sadly I still need to read The Last Time I Lied, but loved Final Girls. I also really enjoy B.A. Paris – Behind Closed Doors. I have been wanting to read Carol Wyer for far too long.

    1. Thanks, Tina! I ended up liking The Last Time I Lied more than Final Girls, so it’s one I definitely recommend. Hope you get the chance to read Wyer’s books too. I’ve really enjoyed her latest series.

    1. Aren’t they?! Now I want to read all her books. She sets up a great atmosphere of fantasy and adventure, with just the right amount of creepiness.

    1. Thanks! Holly Black has some good fantasy books out for middle grade and YA. The two I read we’re standalones, but I want to read some of her series now. 😀
