My monthly wrap-up for October includes my top 5 books read, an update on reading challenges, and links to blog posts. While I didn’t read as much this month, I did read some good books.

I originally planned to focus on reading horror novels this month, but that didn’t happen. With Halloween this month, it’s a good time of year for spooky and creepy reads. This month ended up being busier than planned, so my reading goals took a backseat. I have a feeling this will be the norm for the rest of the year. Still, I always seem to find time to get in a few good reads.

TOP 5 BOOKS READ IN OCTOBER

This month’s top five books include two psychological thrillers (Playing Nice and The Girl Before), two legal thrillers (Silent Bite and The Holdout), and one cozy mystery (A Page Marked for Murder).

1. Playing Nice by J.P. Delaney
2. Silent Bite by David Rosenfelt
3. The Holdout by Graham Moore
4. The Girl Before by J.P.Delaney
5. A Page Marked for Murder by Lauren Elliott
